In April 2019, Oman Hotels and Tourism Company SAOC has announced the most remarkable renovation of Tulip Inn Downtown Muscat (presently Ruwi Hotel) in its 50- year history. The plan expansion is to increase its room inventory with an additional 99 guest rooms located in the wing 1 of the property along with the series of upscale enhancements on the restaurant, banquets and other public spaces inspired by Omani authentic design with a touch of modern warm hues. The hotel has been designed to enable guests to discover the city where the hotel is located through local cultures and experiences. There will be an improved and enriched lobby along with a new unique and renovated restaurant concept that will be added. The lobby lounge and conference hall will supplement the developments in the guest-rooms. There will also be upgrades to the public areas. This enhancement brings the hotel to a refreshed status and modernized look with improved amenities which guests are guaranteed to enjoy. We tactically plan to exceed our guests’ needs and expectations while maintaining the rich antiquity, culture and exquisite location of the hotel.
As we are completing the first phase of the hotel’s major renovation, the management has decided to expand and renovate the remaining of the 83 rooms and completely revitalize Tulip Inn Downtown Muscat (presently Ruwi Hotel) to a more modern and technologically aligned hotel that offers a newly enhanced product to our visitors. These refurbishments and/or renovation are needed to optimize value, maintain a competitive market position and reflect our brand development with modernize facilities to widen the appeal for international tourists and business visitors, whilst maintaining our high quality standard as per the MOT requirement in compliance with safety, fire regulations, disability and other regulatory requirements.
